Saving Tip - eBay eBay eBay!

This may seem really obvious to some people but I’ve only just discovered the magic of eBaying!

I recently moved into Ollie’s so we both had a big clear out to make space. Normally when I have a clear out I end up with a bag of clothes for charity and then I keep a load of clothes that I might wear one day. They either don’t fit (ffs) or I just feel bad giving it away as I haven’t had much wear out of it. This time as we both had a bag each we decided to give eBay a go. We had a little photo shoot (that bit was quite fun) and then I sat for about an hour uploading them all on to the app. It was time consuming, but I quickly got the hang of it! As I was uploading them, I was getting orders - I really didn’t expect it to be that quick. That’s where it got slightly addictive, I kept refreshing the page to see how many views and watchers our items were getting (I’m not always this sad, I promise..) I started taking the orders to the post office on my lunch break and the money started totalling up. We both decided to share the money and put it towards our holiday (we named it The Cocktail Fund) and I think in 2 weeks we had made £250. That’s money that was literally sat doing nothing in our rooms. We’ve had things on there since June and we’ve made just over £500 in total! With the extra money, we’ve made a wish list on H&M for new house things (we’re collecting things under the bed) so we are going to treat ourselves to the whole wish list soon once we’ve made enough. If you’re interested I can show you what we get!

Definitely due another mini clear out soon so I can keep our eBay page topped up so you should totally do it too!! I do it when it’s free listing so it only costs if something sells, and even then it’s not too much that they take. Hopefully it’s given you some inspiration to have a little clear out of your own. It’s satisfying getting rid of unwanted stuff as it is, but it’s especially satisfying when you make money from it!
