Self confessed Fitbit lover

If you are looking for motivation to exercise my biggest tip would definitely be to get a Fitbit! (or any tracker) I got mine in March and I LOVE it. I've used it every day apart from my week holiday because 1. tanlines and 2. let's be real - there was zero activity to track.

I have always used mine to track my steps and sleep but, recently now I have started running I use it for that too. Steps-wise I aim for 15k a day, at first I felt like I was abit obsessive about reaching my step goal (I wouldn’t go to bed unless I had done it) but I’m way more relaxed about it now. I have a desk based job so I like that it buzzes every hour if I need to move!

There’s also challenges you can do with your other friends that have one, based on steps. So if you’re competitive like me, it’s great motivation to move. On a side note, if you do have one then let me know your username so we can do challenges too - I will warn you though - my competitiveness has been described as ‘gross’ haha.

I have the Fitbit Inspire HR, so I’m not sure if all of them have it too, but there is a graph that indicates your fitness level based on your heart rate. Mine has been stuck on ‘poor to fair’ for a looong time so this is my new goal to get it in the blue / green area.

It also tracks your sleep which is my fave feature, it breaks down your sleep so you can see how much deep / light and REM sleep you’ve had which I just find so interesting!!

Anyway I sound like I’m on commission for selling Fitbits so I’ll stop but I thought it might be interesting for anyone who is thinking about getting one / anyone who needs a push to get moving!!
