Running Diary - Week 4
Week 4 of Couch 2 5k complete!! Again, it’s taken me longer than a week but I’m not caring about that anymore - I’m just happy I’m sticking to it! Week 4 is a little harder (obvs) as it is now more running than walking. This time it’s 3 min run, 90 sec walk, 5 min run, 2.5 min walk repeated twice.
The first run I did was actually the easiest. I was in Centre Parcs so the change of scenery probably helped a lot, but also I did it first thing in the morning which I also find easier. After work is always harder for me as I just want to chill and eat dinner!
The last run (which I just came back from) was the hardest one for two reasons, 1. It’s really warm out there tonight! And 2, Ollie came with me. He ran ahead (of course haha) but I still think it made me run abit faster as I didn’t want to get too far behind him. He ran continuously though and his legs aren’t only one inch long like mine so he disappeared way into the distance but I tried my hardest and I definitely feel like I was going faster than I usually do.
I’m planning to start week 5 on Thursday or Friday this week, I’m going to try and not leave it so many days between so hopefully I can start gaining some real fitness. Wish me luck!!
