Running Diary - Week 3
Slightly belated week 3 oops. I’ve let life get on top of me the past couple of weeks and running slipped down on my list of priorities. Truth is, I’ve been pretty stressed and not exercising was definitely a mistake! It just added to my ever growing list of things to do / things I was “failing” at. Obviously that’s so silly - it was only a week off but I’m an over thinker (and slight drama queen) so I felt down about it but I still just couldn’t find the motivation to go.
Tonight I decided to just go, all I wanted to do was to chill in my pjs but I forced myself and I’m SO happy I did!! The sense of accomplishment after you’ve been (and the post-run shower) is just the best feeling. I was worried I may have lost my way with it but I didn’t really notice a difference in my fitness which I was relieved about! I completed week 3 on the couch to 5k app. This is a mix of 90sec running, 90sec walking, 3min running and 3min walking repeated twice and then you’re done!
I’m still running down on the seafront which I love, tonight was lovely as it wasn’t as hot as it has been so I didn’t get as red and sweaty as I normally do. I also found a new Spotify playlist (it’s called Power Workout) which was a bit of me, I was loving it so much I contemplated running for longer!
