January Favourites

I thought I'd bring back the old school 'favourites' post that I used to love reading back in the day. It's probably because I'm nosy but I just really like seeing what people are loving!

I visited the pop up Glossier store in London and picked this up and I've used it pretty much everyday since! I have never really liked using highlighter so I had been on the lookout for a product that would make me look glowy whilst still looking natural and this is it! I put it on after skincare, but before my makeup and it really does show through my foundation making my skin look healthy! I do find it slightly sticky if I apply it with hands but I use a stippling brush and that seems to do the trick.

Love Island

Okay, I'm still not entirely convinced that it should be on in winter.. however, I am still in bed ready to watch at 9pm on the dot every night without fail. Luckily my boyfriend is equally as addicted so I can get away with this level of dedication. It's just a lighthearted guilty pleasure that breaks up my evening of watching morbid crime documentaries (anyone else unhealthily addicted? haha) so far my faves are Shaughna and Callum, and Siannise has really grown on me!

These hoops

I am rarely without hoops - I really need to up my jewellery game but I just love a gold hoop! Even when my 4 year old nephew (shout out Hugo) draws me, he draws my hoops too haha. These particular ones from & other stories have been my go-to throughout January. I just love them! They are small but thick enough to be noticed. So far, they haven't tarnished either so they are a winner! Does anyone else have any gold earring recommendations?

Soap brows

Game changer! My eyebrow lady has the best eyebrows ever and she told me all she ever used was a clear soap (and she dyes them) so naturally I ran out and bought a clear soap and I've been shocked by how easy it is!
Just spray (I use MAC Fix+ but any fixing spray will do) on a brow wand (found this cheapy here) and brush on to the soap and then style your eyebrows with it and they will stay in place all day! My dye has pretty much worn off now so I do use my eyebrow pencil first to fill in the gaps.

Twitter

My favourite app! I've only really just started using it properly and I just love it - I find it so funny and I love that it's not curated like Instagram. It is like a black hole though - once I'm in, I swear hours just go by! Give me a follow if you're not already - @lifewithla_

This Zara coat

Anyone who knows me has probably not seen me without this coat since I bought it haha. It is HUGE and so warm with big pockets. What more could you want from a coat! It doesn't have a hood, but I wear a black or white hoody underneath it or a beanie and that solves the problem! I have other coats but they have been left gathering dust whilst I continue my love affair with this one.

The Ordinary - Peeling solution

This might be my favourite mask I have ever tried. I always suffer with the under skin bumps, especially on my forehead, and this really seems to help!! I will warn, it looks like blood when you put it on and it stings for a few seconds when you put it on but I always see instant results once I've washed it off and my skin feels so much smoother. The ordinary as a brand is my absolute favourite. So cheap (available on ASOS too so I get free delivery!) and it really does work! 10/10 recommend.

What have been your faves this month?
